Mike's Famous Harley-Davidson
In 1994, Mike purchased his first Harley-Davidson® dealership. Only 34 years old back then, and much younger than the prototypical dealer, or for that matter Harley’s® core customer at the time, Mike was committed to reach out to new customers (i.e. woman and a more diverse demographic) in a different way.
In 1998, he created Mike’s Famous® Roadside Rest which included a dealership, restaurant and roadside museum. Located off of I-95 between New York and Washington, the location became both a landmark and destination for riders and tourists alike. The Warehouse Grill won numerous awards and Mike’s staff received countless recognition from the Motor Company and it’s customers including 10 straight Bar and Shield Awards recognizing, among other things, extraordinary customer service. The dealership was featured in a business book in 2005 called Alpha Dogs and was the cover story of INC Magazine in January of 2006. In the mid 2000′s Mike’s Delaware store was the largest selling new bike Harley® dealership in the world for multiple years.
