A Taste of New England
A Taste of New England is located in historic Mystic, Connecticut ( CT ), which got its name from the Indian word "mistuck" which means "large tidal river". Since Mystic was first settled by Europeans in 1654, it has been an important site for both shipbuilding and whaling. During its heyday in the 19th century, Mystic's whaling ships sailed down the Mystic River and into Long Island Sound, then on to voyages around the world. Residents are proud of the town's maritime history - and now 350 years later, Mystic still maintains its quaint New England charm. You can send a bit of Mystic anywhere in one of our unique gift baskets!
